Review: Vicini American Italian Kitchen

Vicini is an American Italian restaurant and bar near Stonebriar Centre. A casual dining place with an elegant feel as the decor in the restaurant is beyond beautiful and diners will likely find they can’t stop looking around. Of course, that may be hard to do as the lighting is dim, but not so much that it doesn’t provide a cool vibe.

But ultimately, every restaurant is judged by the food and on this night, things were just right. From the grilled bread that features a firewood grill taste to the Italian chopped salad, the meal started off on the right notes.

From there, things got even better. The ribeye with roasted spinach, garlic and risotto was delicious. It was cooked to perfection, very flavorful.

The parmesan chicken with spaghetti was phenomenal. It was very well cooked and had the perfect about of crisp with the marinara sauce warm, providing the perfect compliment to the spaghetti.

Whether it’s the ribeye or the market fish, or the parmesan chicken or the cannoli, Vicini isn’t a casual dining restaurant where customers can expect to pay $8-$14 for a meal. Instead, prices are a bit steep and more fitting of a pre-prom dinner rather than a place you and your best friend are going to go.

Vicini is delicious and worth trying if you’re looking for something new, and want to treat yourself on a nice dinner with the family or significant other.
