The band will hold their winter concert in the auditorium Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. The concert will be an ensemble of Christmas pieces under the direction of band director Jamie Weaver.

“The directors do a good job at prepping us for the music,” sophomore Tay Nguyen said. “If it’s a difficult piece, they allow for time to practice. Ultimately we are just a reflection of the directors.”

Junior Maddie Mccord is one of the 200 band members and believes the organization requires a lot of dedication.

“I think the most difficult aspect of band is the amount of time that has to be put in, especially with marching,” Mccord said. “We start in later July working long hours throughout the day and continue with practices after school until October. And when October comes, we have to put our lives on hold pretty much to only focus on band.”
