It was a busy Tuesday night for the school’s sports teams as girls’ and boys’ basketball as well as girls’ and boys’ soccer all played to defend the Nest.

Basketball took on Reedy, with the girls’ team taking the win 55-34 in their last District 13-5A game of the season to claim a share of the championship along with Lone Star.

The boys’ team wasn’t so fortunate. Trailing most of the game, the Redhawks fell to Reedy 57-50 keeping the team in 4th place in district.

For the soccer teams, it was the last visit of the year to Toyota Stadium and it didn’t go well for either team. The boys’ fell to Wakeland 1-0, creating a three way tie for first place, while the girls’ lost 2-0.

“It was a great game,” girls’ head coach Cissy Blaisure said. “It was a very even game, there was really no difference between the two teams but two of our mistakes created the two goal difference.”
