Wingspan: How long have you been playing golf and what got you started?
Garrigus: “I’ve been playing golf since I was four years old. I was watching Tiger Woods on t.v at my grandmother’s house, so I just kind of picked it up.”
Wingspan: What is next for your season? Are you excited for advancing to regionals?
Garrigus: “Well we’re going to try to hopefully get out of regionals and then go to state. I know it’s never been done before at this school so we’ll just try to do that.”
Wingspan: What is you favorite part about golf?
Garrigus: “My favorite part about golf is just playing with all of my teammates and having some cool coaches.”
Wingspan: What are your future career aspects regarding golf?
Garrigus: “I’m definitely trying to get into college, and play college golf. I’m not sure about anything past that, but right now it is definitely college.”
Wingspan: Are there any parts of your game that you need to work on?
Garrigus: “I would say the putting is what needs to be improved and the mental part too.”
Wingspan: How do you plan to get better for next season?
Garrigus: “Just a lot of hard work during practice and just getting out on the golf course and hitting balls.”
Wingspan: What is your biggest accomplishment while playing for Liberty?
Garrigus: “For Liberty it is definitely just getting to regionals as the first time for liberty, but overall just winning big tournaments.
Wingspan: Is it hard to balance school and a sport?
Garrigus: “It’s always difficult to balance school and a sport just because school takes up a lot of your time and sports also take up a lot of your time, so I don’t get a lot of free time.”
