The 5A Region II individual tennis tournament brought an end to the Redhawks tennis season on Tuesday.

The boys’ doubles finished in 4th, and mixed doubles and girls doubles lost in the quarterfinals, keeping any individuals from advancing to state.

“I wouldn’t say spring season is harder but it is a lot different because you are still representing the school, but you aren’t playing together to win because it’s all up to you,” senior Natasha Long said.

Although the season just ended, the players will be finishing off the school year preparing for next years fall season, and working hard to improve their skills.

“I think the coaches are going to have us practice matches more and getting our game better for next year,” Long said. “So the team can maybe advance to state.”
