DECA members traveled to Anaheim, California Wednesday to the International Career Development Conference, where they will compete against other members from all over the world in the Competitive Events Program.

“I’m a very excited and proud to take 24 of our students to compete on an international level with over 19,000 members all over the world,” DECA adviser Chris Ham said. “This is the biggest number of students that Liberty has ever taken.”

Competition is the focus, but some students are looking forward to non-DECA related activities.

“I’m pretty excited about competing international because it’s a great opportunity and it took a lot of work to make it this far,” sophomore Saahithi Joopelli said. “I’ve also been looking forward to the travel part because we can go to Disneyland in California which should be pretty fun.”
