Say it Louder: Glad to not vote

I’m sure everyone is aware of the circumstances of this year’s presidential debate. Usually, I tend to be a bit upset over the fact that I can’t vote. This year, however it’s quite the opposite in that I am actually glad that I am too young to vote in this dissatisfying election.

The pressure to vote for those 18 and older are very high, and people who don’t vote are often considered to be causing problems. If I were old enough to vote, however, I would not be able to help but think about joining the non-voters side. This is due to the fact that I am not for either of the presidential candidates this year.

I try to keep up with this year’s election as much as I can, but there are many times where I honestly don’t even want to watch them anymore. If I had to choose between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, I’m not sure I could. I’m not the most educated person on this topic, I don’t spend a lot of time researching the matter, but I do keep up with it.

I dislike Donald Trump for obvious (or what should be obvious) reasons. The majority of people have probably seen the videos of him making fun of someone with a disability, making racist comments, belittling women, etc. Not to mention the fact that he can’t seem to go very long during debates without interrupting Hillary like a child. These are a few of the many reasons why I don’t particularly prefer Trump as our president.

Clinton, to me, has a lot of suspicious aspects to her candidation. Of course there’s the whole deal where she deleted 30,000+ emails (as Trump mentions every chance he gets), and the theory about Hillary being behind the failed security at Benghazi; both of which are questionable but do look pretty bad.

The real question I suppose is who is the lesser of two evils? That’s at least how I view it. I’m obviously not old enough to vote, and although that makes me feel relieved, I’m still worried about the future of our country.
