The Frisco ISD Board of Trustees discussed the 2017-18 budget and honored students at its regularly scheduled meeting Monday night.

The Frisco ISD Board of Trustees held its regular monthly meeting Monday night with a focus on the budget recommendations presented to the board at the April meeting. The budget is set to be adopted on June 19.

Separate from the 2017-2018 budget, the board also discussed authorizing the sale of new bonds to save $45 million in interest for the district through construction projects and summer maintenance.

The school board also honored senior Bill Wang for his state championship in science at the UIL State Meet academic competition in April. The board also honored 17 students from the school that were National Merit Finalists. The following students were National Merit Finalists from the school:
