Moving forward through in the playoffs, the tennis team has its goals set for state after a 10-1 win against The Colony on Tuesday

“We won, so that gave them a lot of confidence going into the match Thursday against Texas High,” head tennis coach Erica Dopson said. “Texas High ranking showed them to be seventh so they’re a tough team, and it will be a really great win if we can win that.”

The team is ready for the match, carrying their confidence and brushing off the nerves.

“You just have to worry about your own court,” senior Tranh Nguyen said. “It’s not necessary. I wouldn’t be worried for our match.”

However, the pressure is on as the match against Texas High Thursday in Sulphur Springs is going to be a challenge with the season coming to a close for the team that loses.

“I think going in it’s just ready to compete,” Dopson said. “We’re going to have a long match and close match. It’s just knowing that if everybody takes care of their spot that we can win this.”
