Girls’ basketball plays Sherman Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. at Lebanon Trail in the opening round of the annual Frisco ISD Tip-Off Classic featuring 32 teams across the state for a three day tournament.

“We’ve been playing well despite the outcome of the last two games in terms of our competition in terms of having people in new roles,” head girls basketball coach Ross Reedy said. “We expect to play hard. The idea every time you are in a tournament, especially early in the season, is you want to get as many games as possible. We expect to be in some hard fought games so to do that we have to win tonight, we have to win tomorrow morning, and then usually you get the games that you want to get. You want to get the competition. That’s one reason we’ve made the schedule as hard as we’ve made it so we’re playing the best teams in the state of Texas. It sets us up for the future. Other than that, I expect our kids to have great character and go out and play hard.”
