Both boys’ and girls’ basketball are aiming for the top of District 13-5A with the next step coming  Friday against Heritage at Heritage with the girls’ starting at 6:00 p.m. and the boys’ scheduled to start at 7:15 p.m.

“I’m expecting us to win because now we are bonding together so I’m expecting a win especially coming in 1-1 and they’re 2-0,” junior Zion Richardson. “I’m not nervous at all. I’m expecting us to step up especially losing our first game. I’m expecting us to approach every game like we need the win and never underestimate anybody.”

Four games into their District 13-5A season, the girls’ plan to extend their 5 game winning streak against the Coyotes.

“Heritage they’re pretty good they got a lot better from last year so it’ll be good to see how we do from compared this year to last year,” junior Alyssa Nayar said. “I’m not really nervous I think we are going to do really well. We got some new stuff that we’ve working on in practice so just seeing how that works out against another team.”
