Friday the deadline for lit magazine submissions

Panav Ladha, WTV Staff Reporter

Every year, the Writer’s Guild produces their original literary magazine called the Raven.

The Raven consists of original short stories, poems, essays and artwork which are submitted by students.

Students will receive 0.5 volunteer hours for each submission plus one more hour for each submission which is published in the magazine.

The Writer’s Guild will select which submissions to publish and multiple submissions are allowed and highly encouraged.

“In the submissions we are looking for, we are hoping the kids will either submit like a poem that they have written or a short story or maybe an essay that they have written on something they either enjoy or something they have an opinion about, like school,” said Joshua Melton, the Writer’s Guild sponsor. “Probably not anything too too racy or politically charged but just something they enjoy writing typically.”

Students interested in submitting their literary works can either email their work or share via google drive to lhswritersguild@gmail.com but time is running out as all submissions are due tomorrow.
