A sixth consecutive win is within the volleyball team’s grasp as they face off against the Independence Knights Friday at 5:30 p.m. at The Nest.

“I think this game will be a really good way for our team to bounce back from some recent injuries before we reach the tougher games coming up,” senior Regan Cooper said. “Also we are excited that it’s a home game [and] looking forward to a big crowd in the gym.”

With numerous practices aimed to help the girls prepare for game-like conditions, head volleyball coach Ui Womble has assurance in the team’s development and work ethic.

“The team is working hard in practice and working daily on the skills needed to win,” Womble said via email. “We set up practice to put kids in tough situations on the court, so hopefully they’ve seen just about every situation they can encounter on the court.”
