Wednesday is the last day to drop Pre-AP/AP classes. The next opportunity students will have to drop classes is at semester.

Students wanting to drop a pre-AP or AP course must turn in their request forms to the counselor’s office, with a teacher and parent signature, by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

“Students need to make sure they follow all steps in order,” lead counselor Stefanie Mueller said in a previous interview with Wingspan. “Completing the form out of order may render it void. Thus we encourage students not wait until the last minute to complete the process.”

For some students, grade concerns are a reason to drop a pre-AP or AP class, but for junior Lauren Hart, it’s the workload.

“I don’t have time to sit down and do a chapter of notes every single night,” Hart said. “If I had the time for it then I would really stay in it because I like the class and I like my teacher but other than that I just don’t have the time.”
