A 15th consecutive win is within the volleyball team’s reach as they battle the Knights on Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. at Independence.

“For our next match [against Independence] we’re really focusing on staying focused and playing the highest level of volleyball we can no matter who we see on the other side of the net,” senior Jessica Gordon said via text. “I think our biggest obstacle is just going to be our mindset coming into the game; we saw how it really negatively affected how we played on Friday, and so if we let that happen again, it could be hard to pull out a win again on Tuesday.”

Although the team earned a 3-0 victory on Friday against Frisco, it was closer than they anticipated, as the second set finished with a close 28-26 score.

“We have been working a lot on serving and passing because those are two really important aspects of the game. It controls the speed and how we can execute our offense,“ senior Ashley Pennington said via text. “A win against independence will help us keep the momentum going that we need to go into playoffs and have a long playoff run.”
