Girls’ basketball kicked off its 2018-2019 season Wednesday with the first official practice.

“Our practice today was exhausting but it went really well for us,” senior Makenzi Glover said. “Our competition and energy level were great. To prepare for districts we’ve been doing lots of conditioning, as well as, reviewing our offensive and defensive style.”

With nine returning seniors, the team hopes its chemistry is stronger than ever as they go into their final season.

“This team is really special because we have all played together for years,” senior Kelsey Kurak said. “We’re a really talented and experienced group and are expecting a very successful year. District play is so much fun because we all get to be together and compete against all the other Frisco schools. One of our team goals for this year is to win districts and we’ve been working really hard to prepare for this year and are very excited for the season.”
