In 2018, the Redhawks faced off the Trail Blazers, in a showdown that began the rivalry. In their match Friday, the two teams are facing off to defend their undefeated positions.

Looking to add another championship title to this year’s 29-9 record and District 9-5A title, the volleyball team takes on Sherman in a Bi-District match at Anna High School on Monday at 7:00 p.m.

“We are all feeling really good, playoff season is our favorite season,” sophomore Damiana Bova-Ford said via text. “In my eyes, it is always good to experience loss because it makes us work harder, so that’s why I think we did well during districts.”

Monday’s match starts the Redhawks’ playoff run with the winner moving on to play either Adamson or Newman Smith in the second round of playoffs.

“I’m feeling pretty good about tomorrow’s game,” junior Kyla Crawford said via text. “I can’t think of what stands in our way from winning.”
