The Frisco ISD Insight program offers community engagement and a behind the scenes look at the district.

The program provides opportunities for participants to visit both educational and non-educational facilities, ranging from athletics, maintenance, nutrition, transportation, and administration buildings.

They also will be asked to volunteer at a Frisco ISD campus and attend one school board meeting.

According to the FISD website, the program aims to create better informed citizens with the goal of improving family engagement and communication.

“FISD Insight is an opportunity for Frisco ISD residents to get a first-hand look at the operations of the school district, beyond what they may read online or see in one of our schools or classrooms,” FISD Director of Community Relations Allison Miller said in an article with Community Impact. “Participants get a true sense of the bigger picture and how decisions are made with student learning and opportunities in mind.”

The program costs $15 and applications are accepted through Friday and open to all adults.
