Stepping out to a home crowd for the final time, girls’ basketball seniors played their last game at The Nest on Friday against the Wakeland Wolverines, winning 57-18.

“The final home game was kind of bittersweet because I know I have more games to play, but it’s still sad to never play in our gym again,” senior Savannah McKeen said. “Something I took away from the program was that hard work does pay off and that other will notice it.”

Boys’ had equal success coming out with a 67-56 win with junior Micaiah Abii putting up 18 points for the team.

“I think the team is getting more comfortable with one another,” Abii said. “The game showed off what we can do and our potential for playoffs.”
