Moving on to the second round of playoffs after defeating the McKinney North Bulldogs, girls’ basketball is traveling to Coppell to take on South Oak Cliff Friday at 7:00 p.m.

“Our energy is at its climax right now,” senior Brittany O-Reilly Ward said. “We are all feeling pretty good going into it. We know what we have to do to get the win and we’re going to work together as a family to get it done as we always do.”

The South Oak Cliff Golden Bears won the District 12-5A championship but the Redhawks are ready for what awaits.

“We are expecting South Oak Cliff to have some height on us and a few bigger girls,” O-Reilly Ward said. “But we’ve planned and practiced for what we have to do to be the better team, now all that’s left is to execute.”
