Both basketball teams are venturing on their road to state as boys’ team starts the playoffs Tuesday night against Princeton at McKinney Boyd at 7:00 p.m, while the girls’ play a third round game against District 9-5A rival Centennial at 7:00 p.m. at Reedy.

“We’ve had over a week to get prepared,” boys’ basketball head coach Stephen Friar said. “But honestly it’s more about us than them. I expect us to play hard and leave everything out on the floor.”

The girls take on the Titans after beating South Oak Cliff Friday night 52-30.

“I think we have been performing well,” sophomore Jazzy Owens said. “We just need to continue to grind and keep up our defensive looks.”
