Holding onto the last spot in the District 9-5A playoff chase, girls’ soccer was unable to increase its lead in the standings Tuesday as they tied the Frisco Raccoons 1-1. Sitting in 4th place with 22 points, the Redhawks leads Heritage, Memorial, and Lebanon Trail by three points.

“It was frustrating to see us play at a lower level then we are capable of,” senior Emma Mason said. “I think we underestimated the other team and then started playing to their level, rather than our full potential.”

Although the boys lost 4-0 to the Raccoons, head coach Fred Kaiser saw a glimpse into the team’s full potential.

“This was the hardest I have seen the team play all season,” Kaiser said. “I am proud of the effort they put forth against a tough team who is at the top of the table.”
