Redhawks drop district game to Rangers
March 7, 2019
Facing off against the Lone Star Rangers Wednesday night, the Redhawks fell short of their second District 9-5A win, losing 13-3.
“The game could’ve gone a lot better,” sophomore Sue Slater said. “We hit really well last night and have made a lot of improvements since our last few games in the box.”
Reflecting on what the team can improve on, Slater believes her and her teammates have room to grow in their selflessness.
“We can improve on communication and continuing to fight even harder when we get down,” she said. “I think our communication and only thinking of ourselves instead of the team in those moments put us behind. We’re working on picking each other up and being confident in the batter’s box and staying aggressive on base.”
