Over spring break, softball split its successes as they fell to the Independence Knights 11-3 but soon claimed victory over the Heritage Coyotes 11-10 on Monday, March 11, 2019.

While most students were at rest last week for Spring break, softball was in action as they went head to head against conference teams, Independence and Heritage.

With back to back games on March 11, the team first took on the Knights, but lost 11-3. However, the team claimed redemption as they defeated Heritage in an 11-10 victory against the Coyotes later in the day.

“Overall our team did really well,” freshmen Meagan Shannon said. “We all played together and not as individuals. It’s really exciting to see us come together as a team and work towards the next level of play.”
