Working to flip its District 9-5A record to 3-3, the Redhawk baseball team takes on the Independence Knights on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at home.

“We are going into the game tonight with confidence and a determination to win,” sophomore Owen Archer said. “A win against Independence will take our District 9-5A record to an even 3-3, which will help in moving into a winning season.”

Tuesday’s game is not the only thing on the team’s mind, as senior Mitchell Miller looks to find success throughout the week’s competition.

“I expect to go and win both games this week because everyone on the team knows that it’s going to be tough, but we need to go 2-0 this week,” Miller said. “We need to play with a bit of a chip on our shoulder and come out ready to play a full 7 innings and come out on top on Tuesday and Friday.”
