Theatre puts on multiple shows a year, but not many are directed by students.

“So the reason this musical is different from all the others in the program is because this one is our very first 100 percent student run production, in the past few years,” director, senior Eduardo Borja said. “It has been completely directed by me and Maya Koch.”

The show has had its fair share of challenges since the start.

“The music is really difficult to learn,” actor, junior Lauren Head said. “Having such a big company it’s hard to make sure that everybody is doing the right thing at the right time especially when we have so many parts going on at once, so that’s been a little bit difficult but we’ve managed to make it through that.”

Urinetown debuts Thursday and continues Friday with both shows starting at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are donation only with a price of at least $3.
