Swinging into its final game of the season, the Redhawk baseball team heads north to take on the Heritage Coyotes on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Heritage.

“My goal is to win this final game of our team’s high school year,” senior Tim Wynia said. “We have a good chance and I think it would make everybody on the team’s year if we could pull this last game out.”

While athletes like Wynia continue on to play in college, senior Mitchell Miller will hang up his cleats when the season ends.

“It’s bittersweet because I probably won’t ever play baseball again but it was a fun four years playing with my teammates and coaches,” Miller said. “We all want to go out with a win to send off the seniors and give the underclassmen a good way to end the season that they can look back on while they’re preparing for next season.”
