Wrestling isn’t the only sport senior Austin Widner excels at as he competed in the StickStar Lacrosse All-Star Roundup at the Crum Lacrosse Stadium at SMU on Saturday.

“It’s always amazing to play in an all-star game,” Widner said. “But for me it’s never about the awards but instead getting to play with the best of the best, which is what makes all star games so fun. Getting to see a bunch of my old friends and how far we’ve all come is really rewarding.

Attending The United States Military Academy at West Point in the fall, Widner is happy with his final high school lacrosse season.

“I was most proud of how much more aggressively I played this season,” Widner said. “I came in towards the middle of the season due to wrestling but I was immediately able to impact and help my team causing lots of turnovers every game.”
