Hoping to bounce back after Tuesday’s loss against Sachse High School, the volleyball team hosts the 6A Coppell Cowboys on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at The Nest.

“I feel good about this game,” junior Franny Trezza said. “We are a strong team and I am confident in our abilities. Something I want to work on this game is making myself available to hit and helping our middles with a block.”

With a current record of 10-5, junior Caitlyn Brown believes having the right mindset makes all the difference to add another victory to the list.

“I’m really excited about this game, especially since it’s against Coppell, a big competitor, so this is going to be an intense game and I can’t wait,” Brown said. “I hope to improve on my attitude by not letting my mistakes get to my head and moving on to the next point.”

As another important factor to the game, Trezza believes the team’s overall energy affects the outcome.

“As a team, I think we need to work on the consistency of our play,” Trezza said. “We tend to fluctuate when it comes to energy, which really affects the speed of our game and how we do.”
