Inspiration: Kaeon Cho, a junior at Liberty and a friend. Nikki Naghavi an amazing player who inspires her to play everyday. 

Wingspan: What instrument do you play, why did you choose that one?

Lin: “I play the violin, I think it sounds the best and it gets the melody in orchestra.”

Wingspan: What are you most looking forward to in orchestra this year?

Lin: “I am looking forward to bonding with new people in orchestra.”

Wingspan: Are you considering pursuing a career in music or playing in college?

Lin: “I don’t think I will major in music, but I will continue to play in college and join an orchestra program.”

Wingspan: How has orchestra affected you as a person?

Lin: “Orchestra has taught me discipline, team building skills, respect for others, and definitely changed me in a good way overall.”

Wingspan: What is the biggest challenge being in top orchestra as an underclassmen?

Lin: “A challenge is keeping up with the upperclassmen and being confident because they are so much more advanced.”

Wingspan: What is your favorite memory in orchestra?

Lin: “My favorite memory is when everyone in my section brought food to class and we would have a picnic everyday in class.”

Wingspan: Do you have any advice for the future violin players?

Lin: “My advice would be to practice. The more you practice, the better you get and the better you are, the more clout you have.”
