A fourth place finish in District 9-5A led to a bi-district meeting with traditional 5A power Lovejoy in the opening round of the team tennis playoffs on Tuesday.

With its first place finish in District 10-5A, the Leopards served as the hosts, and it could have been the difference maker as Lovejoy was able to edge the Redhawks and take the win 10-9, bringing the team tennis season to a close.

“Our team was wise in working with each other during our doubles games and cheering each other on through the entire night,” senior Mehak Kaul said. “Although we lost, we were very proud and took away the fact that no matter what we tried our best to fight and win.”
