Orchestra members had an extra four days of winter break after traveling to and from Chicago where they performed at the Midwest Clinic on Dec. 16.

“Going to Chicago was an amazing once in a lifetime experience,” senior Fernanda Borja-Prieto said via text. “Being able to go and perform at a clinic that only the best of the best go to was eye opening.”

While the trip allowed the orchestra to perform for an audience consisting of people from across the country, it also provided something more.

“Not only did we get to experience the Midwest Clinic, but we were able to explore the city and experience the Chicago lifestyle, ” Borja-Prieto said via text. “I fell in love with the city and being able to be there with my best friends made it that much better. It was definitely a highlight of my senior year!”
