The second round of District 9-5A soccer play starts Tuesday as the Redhawks take on the Memorial Warriors.

For the girls’ team, it’s the chance to climb into a playoff spot. Currently sitting in fifth, the Redhawks are one point out of the fourth playoff spot.

“I think we are in a really solid position,” captain, junior Sydeny Andros said. “Going into the second round of reason it definitely won’t be easy.”

Losing to Memorial losing 7-2 the last time the school’s played, Andros hopes to flip the score Tuesday when the Redhawks host the Warriors at 7:00 p.m.

“Going into Tuesday’s game verses Memorial I am very nervous,” Andros said. “But I’m excited to play them again and see what the outcome will be.”

Meanwhile, the boys’ team travels to Memorial trying to stay focused on the second half of the season.

“Personally we are gonna keep staying determined,” junior Luke Berry said. “And keep my effort and attitude the same and success will follow we just haven’t seen much of it yet.”
