Both soccer teams ended Friday night tallying a victory against the Reedy Lions, with the girls’ team getting a 5-0 shutout, and the boys’ team netting a 2-1 win.

For the boys, the win gets them back on the winning way and improves their District 9-5A record to 2-8-2.

“Winning is definitely very fun and rewarding,” junior Luke Berry said. “I feel we deserve that win. The team communicated great and had great off the ball movement.”

On the girls’ side, the win solidified the team’s grip on fourth place in the district.

“I was very happy to win this game, because now we are back on a winning streak,” senior Hiba Abukhalaf said. “The team did good fighting for the ball till the end, even after scoring  a couple goals we did not reduce the intensity.”

Both teams take on the Heritage Coyotes Tuesday at 7.
