Face to face classes don’t begin until Sept. 3 in Frisco ISD, but Redhawk students participating in Collin College’s Dual Credit program are already back, with Wednesday being the third day of the fall semester.

For junior Sanjana Dandu, the transition from a high school setting to that of a collegiate level is completely new territory.

“There are two options for learning this year,” Dandu said. “[There is] completely virtual or a blended-classroom. I am very nervous about having to do asynchronous learning classes. My professors have offered conference periods, but I know that those aren’t the same as having class. I truly hope that this semester isn’t too difficult to navigate on my own, especially since for me, time management is a hard task to get down.”

However, Dandu remains hopeful that she will be able to adjust to everything like she has been able to with classes in the past.

“I know I will have to adjust to Dual Credit as I have for all my other classes,” she said. “The pandemic has taken control of so many aspects of our lives and the only way we can truly get through it is to fix our perceptions and mold into the new norms that have been set by the virus.”
