The tennis team took the court yet again Tuesday for a District 9-5A match, but the Redhawks fell 12-7 to the state’s #2 ranked team, Lebanon Trail.

“I feel that the match went really well because the team we played was #2 in the state and we did way better than I thought we would,” sophomore Milla Dopson said via text. “My team’s strengths in this last match is that we had good singles matches, we fought hard, and we supported one another.”

Tennis coach Erika Dopson believes that her team played a strong match and has a good chance at winning their next one.

“The match went well,” coach Dopson said via email. “We were competing on most courts. We had some wins that on paper could have been losses. We have a good chance to win in the next match if we play smart. We need to make sure we continue to be aggressive in doubles and focus on doubles combinations.”

With this in mind, Milla Dopson feels that her team has a good chance at a win in their next match.

“Right now we are trying to improve our doubles so we can do good in the next match,” Milla Dopson said. “Next match we are playing Reedy and I think we will win!”
