Although Friday’s scrimmage looked a little different than typical games, the football team kicked off their season with a win against Royse City

Instead of playing four quarters, the team played 4 sets of 10 offensive and 10 defensive plays in addition to a live 20 minute quarter.

“We had multiple explosive plays on offense,” senior Connor Hulstien said. “We also forced multiple turnovers on defense too.”

The team’s season officially starts its 2020 season Friday at the Ford Center at 7:00 p.m. against Reedy in a non-district contest.

“It sets the tone for a great season,” Hulstien said. “We played really well as a whole and had great plays on both sides of the ball.”
