Wingspan: What got you interested in basketball?
Lescay: “I’m really competitive and basketball seems to fit that”

Wingspan: Have you ever gotten any serious injuries from playing?
Lescay: “The beginning of the season I sprained my ankle but that’s pretty much it.”

Wingspan: What motivates you on the court?
Lescay: “Doing it for my teammates is what motivates me.”

Wingspan: How do you deal with pressure from either your coach or parents?
Lescay: “I take it all out in the court and just go hard.”

Wingspan: How do you prepare for a game?
Lescay: “By listening to music, and talking to my teammates about what we’re going to do in the game.”

Wingspan: Do you have problems balancing basketball with your social and educational life? How do you deal with it?
Lescay: “Yes, sometimes it takes over my sleep but I deal with it.”

Wingspan: How are you planning to pursue this in the future?
Lescay: “I plan to play in college.”

Wingspan: What are some challenges you face with playing?
Lescay: “I always miss easy lay ups, so that’s a challenge and sometimes communicating with players.”
