Volleyball both continued, and ended its winning streak this weekend as they took on the Wakeland Wolverines Friday, followed by a Saturday contest against the Heritage Coyotes

Facing off against former head coach Ui’ Womble on the road Friday, the Redhawks won in straight sets (3-0).

“We played really well,” senior Franny Trezza said. “Last time we played them we barely won (3-2), but this time, we were able to put up way more of a fight.”

As the season goes the teams, chemistry increases, and that can be seen on the court.

“The first round of districts we did good,” Trezza said. “But know we know each other way better, and how we act on and off the court, and I really think that is what’s helping us this second round so much.”

But the team’s four game winning streak came to an end Saturday as the Coyotes escaped The Nest with a 3-2 win.

“It was really frustrating,” senior Grace Doung said. “We were winning the fifth set, then Heritage called a timeout and got on a four point streak and won.”
