On Friday, the volleyball team faced the Lebanon Trail Blazers and swept them 3-0. They are still undefeated and placed first in District 10-5A, which gives the team momentum heading into the second round of district play.

Heading into Tuesday’s District 9-5A volleyball match against the Redhawks, Tuesday Lebanon Trail was 15-0 in district play.

But after the Redhawks 3-1 (25-20, 25-21, 24-26, 25-23) win, the Trail Blazers are now 15-1.

“This win was huge for us,” senior Caitlyn Brown said. “We beat Lebanon Trail who was undefeated, and this helps the playoff spot be even more secured.”

The win over the Trail Blazers was big for the Redhawks, and the team hopes to carry it over for the rest of the season.

“We really came into that game being the underdog,” Brown said. “We were down a player, had everyone playing different positions, they were undefeated, all odds seemed against us. Yet we pulled out a win. I hope that when we play a team in the future where we feel like we can’t win, we will remember this game, and know that we can.”
