The boy’s golf team takes the course on Friday in the Bearcat Brawl. The team is hoping to use this tournament as a way to swing back into things after snow and ice delays.

It’s a busy weekend for the boys’ golf team as they load up to play the Pioneer Invitational at Fossil Creek Golf Course, starting at 8:00 a.m. on Friday.

“During practice we go on the golf course and play or we practice the things we need to work on before a tournament,” junior Mitchell Kalka.

With the tournament continuing into Saturday morning, the teams have two days of competition.

“Playing school golf on the weekends doesn’t feel different for me because a lot of times I have outside of school tournaments so it just feels the same,” Kalka said.

The next tournament is the only one where both the guys and girls teams compete together against all of the other Frisco ISD teams.

“Our team is looking forward to compete this weekend,” Kalka sad. “Hopefully we learn a lot so we can get ready for the Frisco Cup next weekend”
