As Dustin Johnson was on his way to winning the Masters, the Redhawks golf teaming was on its way to winning the Frisco Cup as the boys finished first and the girls finished third, for a combined first place score for both teams.

The team played great,” coach Shannon Glidwell said via email.  “We successfully defended the title from last year and are now the 2020 Frisco Cup School Champions.”

Though the team placed well considering the final scores, senior Raleigh Davidson felt the team could have played better.

The boys team did really good and the girls team did not really do that good so we have a lot more room to improve,” Davidson said via text.

To help the team feel more prepared for their upcoming tournament in December, they are going to keep focusing on the same things.

We will keep doing what we have been doing all year,” Glidwell said. “Emphasizing our short game and working on our putting.”
