After a 30 minute frost delay, the Redhawks got to compete in their 12th annual Redhawk Shootout today taking home 1st for the boys and 3rd for the girls in the red bracket as well as 1st for the girls in the white bracket.

The team had 3 players finishing in the top three, Erica Kim (88) and Sameer Vashisth (77) both taking 2nd and Mitchell Kalka (78) taking 3rd.

“I was exhausted, and I learned a lot from playing today,” senior Mackenzie Cobb said via text. “Usually putting comes easy to me but today the greens were crazy fast and I had to be able to read which way the putt would break.”

Though the team feels they have room for improvement, they believe they played well and plan on using their results today as motivation for the future.

“We always do great as a team, win or lose,” Cobb said. “We had great attitudes and played the best we could. I think as a team we did awesome today.”
