Following wins for both teams against the Centennial Titans on Friday, the basketball teams gear up to defeat the Heritage Coyotes, at Heritage High School on Tuesday, with the girls tipping off at 6:30 p.m. and the boys shortly after at 8:00 p.m. in District 9-5A play.

As a result of daily practice, senior Maya Jain believes the team’s work has paid off and will help them take home another win.

“I think we succeeded in knowing ourselves and what shots we wanted to take,” Jain said via text. “We knew how to control the pace of the game which helped us be successful.”

Eager to see how the past week has affected his team, boys’ head coach Stephen Friar believes the team stands a chance in their upcoming game.

“We’re feeling confident you know, we’ve been preparing a lot and we want to make sure that we can perform with the best effort,” Friar said. “I feel like we’ve been starting to put some good things together.”
