Caging the Heritage Coyotes was the goal Tuesday night for the basketball teams as they continued District 9-5A play. On the girls side, it was a success as the team continued its trend of stifling defense winning 48-13.

“Our goals are to just be loose, confident, and passionate,” head coach Ross Reedy said. “When you’re loose and confident, it’s easier to be passionate. So what we want to see is fearlessness.”

Meanwhile the boys’ team failed to cage the Coyotes, losing 58-53.

Though the team did not have the outcome they hoped for, senior Myson Huff feels his team put forth their best effort.

“Our team is great at finishing basketball games,” Huff said via text. “We never quit regardless of the score winning or losing.”
