The Redhawks basketball program has a busy weekend ahead in District 9-5A play with the boys taking on Memorial High School on Friday at 8:00 p.m., and the girls hoping to score against Frisco High School on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at The Nest.

Senior Park McCurdy has high hopes for his team and believes they have a good chance to take down their opponent.

“My prediction for this game is that we will win because I felt like we were very prepared to play this team,” McCurdy said via text. “We will game plan for what the team we are playing is like, and figure out what will give us the best chance to win.”

Boys’ head coach Stephen Friar has full confidence in the team’s ability to succeed this weekend.

“My hopes for this game are working together with communication and just locking in and focusing on the game plan,” Friar said.

Meanwhile on the girl’s side, senior Lily Ziemiewicz is excited to see what her team can do.

“We have been really working on our defensive rotations from scrambling and trying to continue to make our offense flow as smoothly as we can,” Ziemkiewicz said via text.
