The Redhawks saw split results on the court this week in District 9-5A play with the girls coming out on top, 34-18 against Reedy High School, while the boys failed to tame the Reedy Lions, losing 60-52.

Excited to see another win for her team, senior Lily Ziemkiewicz feels prepared for the next few games to come leading up to their run in the district tournament.

“I think we can play with any team we go against if we play our best and to the high level of basketball I know we can play at.”

Although the boys’ team fell short, senior Myson Huff believes his team was fully prepared and played to the best of their abilities.

“We take practices very seriously,” Huff said. “We stretch a lot and perfect all of our plays so we won’t have any issues in games.”
