The boys’ basketball team lost 68-63 to the Frisco High School Racoons on Friday in the team’s penultimate District 9-5A game, leaving the team with one final shot at a win Tuesday against Wakeland.

Even though the scoreboard did not reflect it, senior Park McCurdy feels it was a win for the team because they played hard and worked together.

“I think we did well overall in the game and just couldn’t get it done to end the game but we played hard,” McCurdy said via text.

Even though the game ended in a loss for the Redhawks, senior Connor Hulstein was in a reflective mood as the team prepares for its final game.

“I’ve enjoyed the season so far and I’m excited to end on a good note this year,” Hulstein said via text. “I’m pretty thankful to have gotten to play for the school for so long.”
