Inspiration: [choir director Toni] Ugolini because she’s always encouraging us to do our best even when we make a mistake 

 

Wingspan: How do you practice for performances?

Raade: “I prepare by working hard in class.”

Wingspan: What made you want to choose to do choir?

Raade: “I always loved singing and my grandfather is a professional musician so it runs in the family.”

Wingspan: How does choir impact your daily life?

Raade: “I’ve made so many lifelong friends that are more like family.”

Wingspan: Are you considering continuing choir beyond high school? Why?

Raade: “Yes I am. I love choir.”

Wingspan: What are your personal goals for this year?

Raade: “My goal is to improve my range.”

Wingspan: What is your favorite thing about choir?

Raade: “My favorite part is the relationships that I have built with other people.”

Wingspan: How do you balance choir, school, and any other extracurriculars?

Raade: “I practice before color guard rehearsal.”

Wingspan: What’s your favorite memory of choir?

Raade: “My favorite memory is getting an award at Solo and Ensemble.”

Wingspan: What is your advice to anybody thinking about joining choir?

Raade: “Don’t be intimidated by the really good singers, they may be good but if you work hard and have a positive attitude, you can be better then them.”

Wingspan: What is your favorite thing you have done in choir?

Raade: “My favorite thing I have done in choir was getting a sweepstakes at UIL.”
