Shang-Chi trailer

Just days before the finale of Marvel Studios The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Marvel released the first trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Coming to theaters in September, the film will follow Shang-Chi, an extremely skilled martial artist, as he attempts to escape the life he was groomed for.

The film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with Shang-Chi will be played by Simu Liu, and his father and enemy, the real Mandarin, being played by Tony Leung. It will also feature Awkwafina in a supporting role.

From the looks of the first trailer, the film looks like it will be largely self-contained, with little to know interference from characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe at large. This should be good to help establish Shang Chi as his own character, but I hope we see him interact with other characters in the upcoming films.
